Wash hands frequently

If you are providing care or due to your job requires close contact with Covid-19 patients, you should not share personal items with patients such as toothbrushes, towels, utensils or electronics.
You should use a separate bathroom with patients if possible. If not, Covid-19 patients should close the toilet lid before flushing.
Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
SAR-CoV-2 Virus is abundantly found in nose and mouth. It means that Viruses causing Covid-19 can be transmitted from person to person through droplets when coughing, sneezing or talking.
To effectively prevent the disease and minimize the risk of transmitting the disease to others, you should use tissues when coughing, sneezing and wash your hands carefully afterwards.
Clean and disinfect surfaces
Cleaning your house frequently will eliminate most of the virus causing Covid-19 on surfaces.
Sanitize surfaces that you touch frequently on a daily basis such as: doorknobs, light switches, surface of shelves, especially after guests visit your home.
Clean surfaces with household cleaners containing soap or bleach.
Strictly implement social distancing
Social distancing is a method to help protect the health and safety of people. By keeping the distance person to person, family to family, community to community, helping people cope with the risk of disease outbreaks.
Do not gather in crowded places
The number of Covid-19 cases is often recorded at crowded places such as events, conferences, trade fairs, festivals, concerts, sporting events, weddings, airport, bus station, public transport and so on. Thus, the Ministry of Health has advised people not to gathering in crowded places when not absolutely necessary.
Avoid eating in crowded places
Eating in crowded places will increase the risk of Covid-19 because viruses are able to stick surfaces of bowls, plates, glasses,… Additionally, viruses will communicate from person to person easier through droplets in crowded places. Therefore, the risk of getting disease will be higher. In order to avoid complicated happenings of Covid-19, people should not eat in crowded places, only buy unprocessed food or take away food.
Wash raw foods carefully
Wash raw foods before eating and processing. As recommended by the CDC and FDA, people should not use soap or detergent to wash fresh foods, fruits and vegetables. Don’t forget to wash your hands before and after handling food. This is a very simple method but will help you “dodge” Corona Virus.
Wear a mask
In the list of methods preventing Covid-19, wearing a mask is considered as the first and most important method. Masks are recommended as a simple and effective shield to prevent respiratory and airborne droplets from being transmitted to others when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks.
Self-isolate when getting sick
When there is a close contact with a person known or suspected to have Covid-19, it is necessary to actively self-isolate to minimize the spreading risk towards others. Although you may feel good at that time, you most likely carry SAR-CoV-2 Virus.
Everyone should self-isolate within 14 days from the last contact with a person known or suspected to have Covid-19 and must immediately notify the authorities to conduct necessary tests. After the isolation period, the patient will be tested again to make sure that that person is not sick and is not capable of spreading the disease to those around.
